Our passion for Australian Lowlines started in 2003 when we purchased several Australian Lowline cows from 2 different studs, these were to be the start of our herd. Our stud then named “Snowy Mountains Lowline Stud” which was situated on 650acres at Jindabyne NSW Australia. We had snow falls in winter and bush fires in the summer and a worsening drought which saw us reducing our Lowline numbers constantly and a growing feed bill.
We have had to sell a lot of cows due to the drought which we would have preferred to have kept but this has been a positive at the end of the day. We now have a line of cows which we are quite proud of.
In January 2008 we moved to south western Victoria and in this prime dairy country our cattle are thriving. We have renamed our stud to “DP Park” and are continuing to build/improve our herd.
We are very focused on maintaining all the qualities of the Australian Lowline breed while improving our Genestar MVP results. All our cattle are Genestar MVP tested and we have some outstanding results within our current herd. Photos and Genestar MVP results for most of our cattle can be found on cows and bulls pages, this will be continually updated.
A full list of our herd can be found on ALCA website, Lowline Animal Listing owner identifier DPK. We are proud members of the Australian Lowline Cattle Association.
Feel free to email or phone for details on any of our cattle as most are available for purchase. We are passionate about our Lowlines and visitors are always welcome by appointment.
We would also like the thank Toni from xeptshonaldesigns.com.au for her patience and support in creating what we think is a fantastic website and her first Cow site!
